Release Blitz & Review - THE COMMANDER by Melanie Moreland

The Commander by Melanie Moreland is live!

My instincts had always served me well.
Listening to my gut, the warning voice in my head that told me when to walk away.
I never failed to heed the signs.
Until the day she walked into my office.
I knew she would be trouble, but I ignored the alarm bells.
And then it was too late, and I fell. Hard.
A lie tore us apart, and I thought I'd lost her forever.
But now she's back—with a secret she's been keeping.
This time, I'm not letting her go.

4.5 Stars

Another Alpha to the max as we get another leader in the Men of Justice and his story of found love, reflection and the need to protect his family more than the people he protected.

Julian has watched his friends find their love and families in awe but never felt he would have that luxury. Happy to be the behind the scenes, planning and taking out those bad guys. Making life better for those women and children. But it was a lonely life of secrets and hiding the truth.

Tally has been doing everything she could do to try and move forward with her life. Make it better than the life she grew up in, even if it meant balancing multiple jobs, putting herself in the face of people who made her uncomfortable. That changed when she walked into Elite Security looking for a job. Drawn to Julian from the beginning, she did her best to keep her thoughts hidden.

Their journey was anything but smooth sailing. Secrets and omissions caused much hurt and sadness. Would they find their way back to each other? Will the dangers of Julian's past come to tear them apart once again? Will they find their HEA like Julian's friends have?

I enjoyed Ms Moreland told this story in two parts, helping us understand the relationship between the characters better. Due to the storyline, I didn't quiet feel as connected to these characters but I loved them still.

New York Times/USA Today bestselling author Melanie Moreland, lives a happy and content life in a quiet area of Ontario with her beloved husband of thirty-plus years and their rescue cat, Amber. Nothing means more to her than her friends and family, and she cherishes every moment spent with them.

While seriously addicted to coffee, and highly challenged with all things computer-related and technical, she relishes baking, cooking, and trying new recipes for people to sample. She loves to throw dinner parties, and also enjoys traveling, here and abroad, but finds coming home is always the best part of any trip.

Melanie loves stories, especially paired with a good wine, and enjoys skydiving (free falling over a fleck of dust) extreme snowboarding (falling down stairs) and piloting her own helicopter (tripping over her own feet.) She's learned happily ever afters, even bumpy ones, are all in how you tell the story.
