This is my first read by this author and it will not be my last. I enjoyed this witty book full of emotions and second chances.

James is a woman doing her best to make strides in a mans world of horse training. Her own father kept passing her up for promotions. So she decided to find work somewhere else where she would hopefully be seen for her abilities. She settles in nicely at the Lodestar Ranch.

Adam has taken over the day to day running of the ranch while trying to raise his teen son. He is known for his being broody to everyone except Ben. Life has given him some good hard kicks and he figured this would be his life. He didn't expect a second change at happiness.

Two strong characters colide until they meet in the middle & decide best to help one another out. The more they get to know each other the more they open up to each other. Could this be the beginning of something,if they can get past the employee/boss situation.

An enjoyable book for a nice afternoon read.
