"You are being rewarded for turning me on. But we're doing it my way. You teased the hell out of me, and now I want to watch you squirm. Crawl up on my bed and get on your hands and knees."
Their world was sex, love, and lies.
He intoxicated her. Commanded. Consumed.
With a dirty mind and a mouth to match, Clay Nichols is everything Julia never knew she wanted and exactly what she cannot have. He walked into her life one night and unlocked pleasure in her that she never knew was possible. Possessing her body, captivating her every thought. Which makes him way too dangerous for Julia Bell to risk her heart, given that she has a price tag on her head. She ran after one mind-blowing week with him, but now he's back, and determined to make her his own.
No matter the cost.
She was a sexy drug to him. Fiery, unforgettable, and never enough, Julia is an enigma, and Clay isn't willing to let her go without a fight. But she's got dark secrets of her own that threaten to destroy any chance of happiness. She's a wanted woman - the stakes are high, her every move is watched, and yet the lure between them can't be denied. Can two people burned by love trust again when desire and passion are met by danger at every turn?
A sensual, emotionally-charged erotic romance that is now a New York Times and USA Today Bestselling novel!
Please note: This book is intended for 18+ due to dirty talk, light bondage, and lots of sexy scenes.
This ebook edition also includes the prequel novella First Night, which precedes Night After Night.

ARC Review
Released: April 16, 2014
My rating: 4.5 of 5 ⭐️
After bar owner, Julia Bell spent one incredibly hot, steamy and satisfying night ending a long dry-spell, with the spectacular and very forceful Clay Nichols, she had hoped it would tide her over for a while. Instead, it seemed he had left behind a craving that occupied her mind. But with him on one coast and her on the other, a one night stand was likely all it would remain. Not to mention she was in no position to draw anyone into the holy mess left behind by their predecessor. That was hers and hers alone to deal with.
Normally poised and polished, entertainment lawyer, Clay Nichols found himself knocked on his ass by the mind-blowing experience with the fiery Julia. A rather unusual trait for a lawyer, Clay had a preference for putting all his cards on the table, and he did so when he made it clear to Julia that their single night would not be enough for him by a long shot. The physical distance between them simply becomes a logistical problem for him to work around, but he is determined.
Aware that she is taking a risk, Julia can nevertheless not resist the temptation that Clay presents and allows herself to get swept up in a whirlwind of sensations, excitement and emotions. Until the harsh realities of her precarious situation stare her in the face and she has a difficult choice to make, one that might turn Clay away and break her heart...

Oh yeah!! There is no doubt this book is HAWT, in capital letters!!
I have to say up front, there hasn't been a book written by Lauren Blakely that I HAVEN'T liked, but with this one, I feel a threshold of some sort has been reached. Whether it is the level of maturity of the characters - thank you, Lord!! - or the highly erotic and very edgy sex/love scenes that are part of this story, maybe even the dark element of suspense that threatens around the background, all I know is that the entire 'feel' of the novel is "Grown Up". And I am liking it a whole lot!!!
I don't think Clay really has any issues. In my opinion, having a strong aversion to lying is not really an issue, although how far he takes it is to be seen in the next book. Because if it means not having the ability to forgive, than THAT is an issue of big proportion. Especially when presented with understandable, if not entirely logical, explanation. A breath of fresh air in every way, Clay is about as direct as they come, with very little "game" to his play, he tells it like it is and claims it as he sees it. He is also not afraid to ask for, or often simply take what he wants. No pretense, no excuses, no games. Delicious.
Now Julia, on the other hand, has a few issues. Not really her own fault, but she complicates them with pride, which has to be the stupidest emotion ever conceived. In particular when it is something one desperately clings on to against better judgement, instead of something one feels as a result of an accomplishment. Pride and shame are two emotions allowed to weaken Julia's common sense, which is a shame, because she is a smart and savvy woman who has a lot of good things going for her. Right now though, she is not seeing the big picture, in fact, she is staring herself so blind on what is in front of her, she can't see the danger coming....
I will be anxiously anticipating the conclusion of Seductive Nights, which luckily is not that far away, sometime this month. As a sucker for romantic suspense, this novel tickled all of the right sensors for me. Hell, it actually went one better, in that it also deserves a full erotic label. Only drawback? I'm so tired of serials, cliff-hangers, half-novels.......someone, just write me a whole story from beginning to end, publish it regardless of how many pages... i'll take 1500!! I'd love it!!
As for NIGHT AFTER NIGHT.....since the releases of the instalments are relatively close together, I don't have any hesitation in highly recommending this collection to you. As far as I'm concerned, Lauren Blakely has reached a new high!!
✨Oh...My...Good...God!!! Heat resistent gear recommended!!✨
