(Storm MC #2.5)
by Nina Levine
Release: April 30, 2014
Yes! Yes! Yeeeesssssss!!
J is back in all his two-syllable glory! He sure doesn't waste words, no clean ones anyway. Although, in this case, he probably would have been better off making an attempt at a full sentence every now and then.
Some distinct 'cooler' winds were blowing down under, and if not for Madison's rock-solid faith in her man, and a well-timed kick in the pants from her brother, our favourite couple might not have survived the night frosts.
The extremely gifted Nina Levine has used this novella, not just to prolong the story of J and Madison, but she recognized the need to deepen the backstory, the larger picture behind Storm MC. So far we've had little tastes and nibbles at the scope of the larger plot, but with the individual books it is easy to lose track of where all the players are... Nina has used the story of Madison and J beautifully to tighten all those bits and snippets of information just a little tighter, allowing for a much clearer image of how it all fits together.
I don't want to give too much away, but one thing I can promise as a result of BLAZE; It's about to get interesting!!!
Aside from J's obvious broody deliciousness, I really appreciated the 'thickening' of the backstory - plot. Blaze turned out to be a fantastic bridge novella on top of giving us a good tasty mouthful of Madison and J dessert!!
✨A charged, raw and tangled knot.✨
